Imagine sailing 1.5m above the sea at 40 knots in full comfort. Our Bonus Episode takes you Onboard FOILER, the world’s first flying yacht. ENATA’s Alois Vieujot explains why hybrid propulsion and fully carbon hydro-foiling is the future of luxury yachting.
To say that ENATA Industries has introduced a new era of sailing with FOILER, the world’s first flying yacht is an understatement. Fusing the high-speed of a superyacht tender with the technology of an elite hydrofoil racing yacht, the FOILER is unlike anything on the market. From its 320hp diesel/electric hybrid propulsion system to its insane electric torpedoes, FOILER is unmatched and unforgettable.
Of course, such memorable experiences only come at the touch of a joystick, a 50% reduction in fuel consumption, and minimal drag. But ENATA is much more than the FOILER.
Based in Sharjah, UAE, ENATA Industries is a multi-disciplinary Marine, Aerospace, and Architecture conglomerate. With more than 100 meticulously-trained employees, the group produces everything from fully carbon cruising catamarans to flying yachts, drones, and high-performance kites. Or, as Alois Vieujot puts it, “anything you can dream of. If we can do it… we do it.”

We were honored to experience FOILER first-hand during sea trials; we toured ENTA’S 7,000+ square meter factory, and talked to Vieujot about the FOILER concept and what it means for luxury yachting.
Here are the takeaways from our discussion:
- Maximum comfort, efficiency, and responsiveness are the core of FOILER’s DNA.
- The FOILER’s four foils are fully retractable, auto-stabilizing, made of carbon fiber, and have over 200 layers.
- No matter where you are, the FOILER is fully customizable.
- Sustainability is a key driver of the FOILER’s technology, using 50% less fuel than a regular boat.

FOILER’s big reveal comes as you accelerate to 18 or 20 knots when its hull elevates completely out of the sea. The same is true for landing. And there is nothing like it. Are there other hydro-foiling boats on the market? Yes. Do they slice through more extreme waves as a warm knife would through butter?
That… you have to experience it for yourself.
We did. And, without a doubt, we can say that FOILER is one of the most thrilling sailing experiences a yacht enthusiast will ever have. But don’t take our word for it.
